Voiding (Deleting) Cash Applications

You can void (delete) a cash application that exists in the system by viewing the allocation screen and using the Delete command option.

1. When you first enter into the Cash Applications option, a Select A Checking Account window appears. Select the account associated with the cash application you wish to delete and press Enter to confirm your selection.

If you select EXIT, the system will leave this option.

2. At the Customer field, enter the six character ID code for the customer whose payment you need to delete.

3. A Select A Check window will appear; select the existing cash application you wish to delete from the list of checks that are presented.

4. Command options will appear; select View.

5. The cash application will display and command options will appear; select Delete.

6. "Continue with delete? No/Yes" will appear on the screen. Select yes. The cash application is now deleted.

Note: You cannot delete a cash application if the payment is included on a bank deposit or if the payment was received in a prior accounting period.
